We’re Emma and Andrew Knott, the crew behind Sailing Afterglow. Along with our adventurous Miniature Australian Shepherd, Isla, we’ve swapped the shore for life aboard our 46-foot sailboat as we sail around the world. From remote islands to coastal cultures, we’re sharing the highs, lows, and unforgettable moments of cruising full-time through our videos. We’re a tight-knit team of three living life onboard. Emma is the creative helm behind our stories and videos, Andrew is the problem-solver keeping our floating home running smoothly, and Isla—our mini Australian shepherd—is the heart of the crew, always ready to explore the next beach. Together, we make up Sailing Afterglow as we navigate the world one anchorage at a time.

Afterglow is our 2001 Hunter 460 sailboat—and our floating home. We stumbled upon her on Facebook Marketplace while living in Key West, never imagining how much she would change our lives. What began as a creative escape from Key West’s sky-high rent quickly became our dream boat: solid, spacious, and ready to carry us across oceans. From the moment we stepped aboard, Afterglow has been more than just a sailboat—she’s the vessel turning our dream of circumnavigation into reality.
